#30Daysto30 | Broward Public Library Foundation

Day 17 of 30 | Broward Public Library Foundation

The Broward Public Library Foundation is committed to enhancing the collections, programs and services of the Broward County Library system beyond the means of public funding. Broward Public Library is the ninth largest library system in the United States.

Fine libraries everywhere exist with public funds, but it is through private funds that they flourish. The Broward Public Library Foundation was incorporated in 1982 to provide books and materials that go beyond what is available through tax base funding. The nonprofit Foundation is the catalyst in sparking private funding and endowments to ensure that a state of excellence is achieved throughout the Broward County Library System.

Connect with BPLF:

The Library Foundation needs volunteers to help in the office and at special events, especially Literary Feast. For more information call (954) 357-7382 or email

With a minimum donation of $35 per book, you can honor someone or celebrate the memory of a loved one – while providing needed funds for programs and services for Broward County Library through the Broward Public Library Foundation. A bookplate in a book will acknowledge the donation.

Your book tribute to the Library Foundation is tax deductible. Every gift is acknowledged promptly both to the donor and the designee of the book tribute. For more information call (954) 357-8086 or email

Libraries continue to play a critical role in children’s lives every summer. During these on-going difficult economic times, the library’s Summer Reading Program provides a free place for all children to have fun while they learn, and to develop the habit of reading, so crucial for success in today’s world.

DONATE ONLINE HERE or call 954.357.7382 to contribute.
